Our editorial approach
Definitions first. Transparent assumptions. Sources you can inspect.
Explain the mechanism
Articles start by identifying the activity that produces a payment or reward. We distinguish deposits, debt securities, fund distributions, proof-of-stake participation, and other crypto strategies. Shared marketing language does not make these mechanisms equivalent.
Label the measurement
A yield should carry its full metric name, observation period, unit, and fee convention. Worked examples state when they assume a constant rate, reinvestment, no external cash flows, or no costs. Approximate calculations are described as approximate. Illustrative charts are not presented as live market data.
Use original, inspectable references
The library favors official investor education, regulators’ explanations, issuer terminology, and protocol documentation. An issuer glossary is used to clarify a definition, not to endorse its products. The source library identifies the references and what each one supports.
Each Journal article includes one direct editorial link to a relevant primary source. Additional context is available through the internal methodology, source library, and related topic guides. Original worked examples are distinguished from provider data; the site does not invent market quotes, search volumes, or investment results.
Preserve uncertainty
Where a product’s terms, future price, or operating performance are unknown, the content identifies the unknown rather than filling it with a plausible-looking figure. A scenario is not a forecast. A risk checklist is not a safety score. A protocol reward is not a guarantee of purchasing power.
Dates and substantive review
An article’s publication date appears beside its byline. Its review date identifies the current content review, and structured metadata keeps those dates separate. Historical publication labels do not mean a hypothetical rate was actually offered on that date.
Network implementations, product terms, and regulatory materials can change. Readers should check current primary documents before acting. The site does not promise continuous monitoring or real-time updates.
Corrections
Send the page address, the passage, and a supporting source to [email protected]. Avoid sending sensitive personal information. Substantive corrections should be reflected in the article and its review date rather than silently treated as a new original publication.
